Our beautiful children!
Maddi's 8!
We hope your family has ended 2004 with the joy and happiness that we were blessed to experience. Scattered throughout our web site are pictures from our various holiday moments.
Oh my gosh, Santa came!
And he remembered my stocking, too!
Over the summer, I met some of my closest friends in the world and I only had to go to Houston, Texas to do it!
Each time we do one of these we take up a little less lens space.
:-)
Of course spring meant baseball! We took Maddi to a game early in May
against the Houston Astros. Other than having to put up with our
dear friend, Natalie's "ha ha ha" phone call after we lost, the game
was great. :-) Oh, Natalie is from Houston, did I mention that?
We attended a Youth Celebration ceremony at church and Maddi
brought along her school "visitor" Grizwald who comes to visit
throughout the year. We took him to church (where you can see
he enjoyed singing from the hymnal) and then wrote all about his stay with us
in the diary. Hopefully, this will be the last time Grizwald comes to
our home this year since we're running out of ideas to do with him
and frankly we're sick of seeing his little fuzzy face. :-)
Easter Morning was full of surprises. Even though all four
kids were sick with Rotovirus, they managed to rally that morning.
Chris chose to sleep in which is why there are no pictures
of him. He was in the house.
Some lasting images of Winter 2004
We weren't sure it was going to happen but it did on February 26th!
We got snow. Those of you who live in the north will snicker, but
in Atlanta this is major stuff and every school system in the metro area
shut down as well as many businesses. Generally, we have one or
two "snow days" out of school but it's more often for ice than snow.
Christmas 2003
Despite our warnings about coal, apparently Santa felt Maddi
was deserving of his love and there was a big, beautiful bike
waiting in the living room. She was amazed at how similar it was
to the one she'd seen and asked for at a local store! Talk about
coincidences. Some more holiday pictures follow....
Oh my gosh! Santa actually came:
Santa brought the bike and the biggest toy
horse we'd ever seen!
And darned if he didn't fill her stocking too.
She must have been really good this past year!
I might have promised to not put this on the web site, but
I think it's so precious of Dad and Maddi, just had to do it.
The second picture was how pretty it all looked before Maddi
ripped into everything. Just for those who count our kids, we
only had Maddi that morning. There were plenty of presents
for the other three.
Proof of the other presents. :-)
Also, Santa left Maddi a letter thanking her for the goodies.
